Erosion is Thinking Aloud's second CD release, and contains at least nine newly recorded tracks skirting around a vague theme of change.

"I've listened to the album several times and enjoy it very much. It has great scale, majesty and beauty. The tracks are segued together into a 'progressive' epic, with the songs One Road Too Far and We Are Stars standing out as Moody Blues-style hit tracks. This second album is more consistent than 'Conglomerate' and its dynamic, symphonic sound reminds me of 80s groups like Asia and Marillion. The arrangements throughout are perfect. Owen's thoughtful vocals again remind me of Justin Hayward and Pink Floyd. A little bit of humour balances the drama of the album's darkest parts. Smooth mellotron strings combine with piano to create the trademark Thinking Aloud aural texture."
